Finding words has always been an issue for me. For a long time art was the most common form of communication for me. Expressing what I felt on canvas helped but it wasn’t until I discovered gothic fraktur calligraphy that I learned how to work with words. Calligraphy allowed me to think more clearly and focus less on the anxiety of what i’m saying and more on the artistic message i’m trying to send. By incorporating calligraphy techniques into my work I seek to breathe life into the letters. It is my hope that my work provokes inner reflection, wonder, and sparks of creativity for others .
