Grace Li

My name is Grace Li, and I was born and raised in Beijing, China, and later moved to the US to pursue my education, currently living in the greater Boston area. I have considered myself an artist my whole life, from doodling as a kid, helping design T-shirts and posters in high school, to getting professional art education in college. In 2021, I earned a BS degree from SUNY Stony Brook, where I double majored in Studio Art, in addition to Applied Math. During my time at Stony Brook, my artistic talent was recognized when two of my pieces were selected for the 2020 Sunwood Student Art exhibit, with one piece being sold. Equipped with more professional artistic skills and systematic art history knowledge, I started to develop my personal take on art. My works are usually based on my personal experiences with the beauty of nature and my surroundings, which include daily scenes of landscape and townscape. My artistic languages, such as dreamy color choices, a variety of brush strokes, and sculpted paint effects are all coordinated to evoke a sense of quiet and peace.
