One day, several years ago, I decided to pursue a decades-old goal of painting. The idea of seeing an object then adapting it to a canvas intrigued me. The subject morphs and mutates through the artistic process as questions arise and are answered, then, through brush strokes upon brush strokes the finished object emerges! I started taking painting classes to portray subjects with a greater degree of realism. My work shows layers of flat paint, although subtly different, rendering a print-like quality. I use small canvases to create a feeling a intimacy.
