Joanne Chakrabarti

I am a native of the San Francisco Bay Area and in 1992 moved to the Boston area with my family. My artwork depicts what I observe and experience in the physical world then translate the subject into acrylic paintings on canvas. I enjoy painting varied subjects including still lives and landscapes. I usually paint from photos, often from travels around the world over the years. Subjects with color and texture inspire me to find the story within and reveal it as a painting to the viewer.
