Ellen Foust

I am a visual artist/iPhone photographer/mobile photography educator, and I love seeing! Not merely looking, but seeing deeply, staring long and hard, appreciating the beauty I find everywhere. My favorite subject is light, particularly as it is revealed in shadows, reflections, and silhouettes. I like to revisit the same subject over and over again at different times of day/weather to see how the light interacts with it. My images are bold, graphical, full of noticeable lines, shapes, and textures, and taken from unusual perspectives. Currently, I am creating a photo collection of cloudscapes I see at Bullough’s Pond in Newton.
