Welcome to the 2020 James King Bonnar Show Online

We present this show online because Lasell University and the Wedeman Gallery are not yet open to the public, the James King Bonnar Show will be presented online beginning November 3. Please plan to To participate in this year’s opening reception and awards ceremony. Just look for an NAA email this week from the NAA providing the  link to the Zoom presentation on Tuesday, November 17, at 7:00 p.m.

This year’s awards judge is familiar to us in the Newton Art Association community. Vladimir Zimakov has a close relationship with the NAA and has hosted multiple association shows at the Wedeman Gallery.

Vladimir Zimakov is a Boston-based book artist, designer, and illustrator specializing in techniques such as linocut, silkscreen, and letterpress among other traditional and digital media. He is the associate professor of art and design and the director of the Wedeman Art Gallery at Lasell University, located in Newton, MA.

Vladimir has worked with world’s leading publishing houses such as Penguin, Random House, Faber and Faber, and the Folio Society and illustrated books and book covers for the works of Gustav Meyrink, Nikolai Gogol, Fyodor Dostoyevsky, Alexandre Dumas, Herman Melville, A.T.A. Hoffman, Margaret Atwood,  and Julian Barnes among others. His work has been exhibited in numerous solo and group exhibitions in America, Europe and Russia.
