DESCRIPTION:ZOOM LINK\n					\n					\n				\n								\n				\n							\n						\n				\n									Join artist Buckwalter for a demonstration of drawing botanical subjects with colored pencils. Relaxing and meditative to use\, colored pencils have so much to offer a student of botanical arts. A list of supplies can be found below for artists wanting to participate. Corry Buckwalter is an artist\, art educator\, and landscape designer. In her art studio classes\, she teaches observational drawing and painting techniques in a systematic and nurturing process. In her art practice\, Corry explores urban places\, botany and science in watercolor\, graphite and colored pencil. A recent art commission was a colored pencil drawing of a newly discovered virus for the Life Sciences Department at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Corry holds a Master of Landscape Architecture and a Master of City and Regional Planning from Cornell University. Supplies List One small green chili pepper such as a jalapeno or another varietyPad of smooth drawing paper\, i.e. Bristol Smooth\, 9” x 12”\, or a few sheets\, such as Canson brand\, or Strathmore Bristol Vellum Surface\, 300 SeriesSketch paperHB and H graphite pencilsColored pencils: the following Faber-Castell Polychromos brand colored pencils are chosen specifically for drawing many botanical subjects.
