Newton Art Association’s Annual Awards Show
At the Newton Free Library

Requirements: Open to NAA members in good standing
with all dues paid for the 2022-2023 season.
Registration for this show starts on Tuesday, July 5 and
ends on Tuesday, August 9, 2022, at midnight

NAA Guidelines for all shows:
- This in-person exhibit is open to all Newton Art Association members. Each member may enter only one piece of artwork, along with an exhibition fee of $25.
- Only 65 pieces will be displayed in the in-person show because of gallery redesign constraints.
- Refrain from submitting work that may be considered offensive or otherwise inappropriate for the library. Works can include non-frontal nude figures that are discreet. If you have questions, please send the image to Garrow Throop before submitting.
- There is a size limit of 32 inches on the longest side and all media are accepted. Smaller 3-D work (jewelry, metal work no larger than 12 inches in height) can be in the locked display cases.
- Framed work with glass, larger than 24 inches must have Plexiglas for safety reasons.
- There is a 20% commission taken by the NAA.
- Participants may only submit original work, completed in the past 3 years, that has not been shown in previous NAA shows. No reproductions of original work (giclee).
- Seven cash prizes will be awarded as well as four honorable mentions at a reception on Wednesday September 14th
The Awards Judge for the Annual Awards Show will be Presley Ackeret, Assistant Curator & Marketing Manager, Beacon Gallery, Boston.
