Artist Statement
My work explores the relationship between abstraction and the natural world, drawing from landscapes, organic forms, and environmental rhythms. I am interested in how color, texture, and movement can evoke the emotional and sensory experience of being in nature—its calm, unpredictability, and constant transformation.
I work in oil, acrylic, watercolor, and mixed media as individual practices. Each offers a distinct physical and visual language: watercolor’s fluidity, acrylic’s immediacy, oil’s depth, and mixed media’s experimental nature shape the direction and surface of each painting. This separation allows me to fully engage with the unique qualities of each material while responding intuitively to the subject.
I allow the work to unfold organically, mirroring the way nature itself evolves. Through color, movement, and texture, the paintings create moments for quiet observation and personal connection.
