CALL FOR ART: Senator Cynthia Creem’s Office, Massachusetts State House

NAA members are invited to submit art to be exhibited in Senator Cynthia Creem’s office in the State House in Boston. Artwork from our members rotates through her office every twelve to eighteen months. Senator Creem has a preference for big and bold artwork to hang in her conference room. There is a need for about twenty works of art with about five of those having large dimensions. There is a need for small pieces too (9×12 to 18×24).

If you are interested in having your work displayed in Senator Creem’s office please submit up to three images to James Varnum at jcvarnum@icloud.com. Please write Senator Creem in the subject line. Images must be high quality jpgs, no greater than 2MB. Please name your images with your last name, title, media and dimensions. For example: (Varnum_Landscape_watercolor_18x24.jpg). Provide an image list with Artist name, Title, Medium, and Price (work does not need to be for sale). These will be reviewed and selected by Senator Creem and her staff.

Please submit your images by Friday, July 25 at midnight. Artists will be notified if their work has been accepted and details will follow regarding the drop off in Newton, and the final installation date. James Varnum will make arrangements to transport, and hang the work on or around August 15th, so submitted artwork should be ready to hang. All work must be gallery ready with wires and hooks, framed or finished edges, and smearable work protected. Please use Plexiglas if work is larger than 12 x 16. All 2-D media accepted.

There is no fee for entering this Call. If you have work that you would like displayed and appreciated, rather than stored in your studio, this is the Call for you!
